Compact Staffords Blog

At the End of May their will be a AKC show at the Kalamazoo County Fairgrounds. The Dates for this event are May 23, 24, 25, & 26, 2008. These Shows are hosted by the Following Clubs: Holland Michigan Kennel Club, Grand Rapids Kennel Club, Kalamazoo Kennel Club and Greater Muskegon Kennel Club.

The Closing date for these shows is May 7, 2008.  The address to the Kalamazoo County Fairgrounds is 2900 Lake Street, Kalamazoo, Michigan.

We are planing to have a good number of staffies there. 

This show is hosted by The Michigan Toy Fox Terrier Association. It will be held at the Ann Arbor Dog Training Club in Whitmore Lake, Michigan. The address is 1575  North Territorial Rd.

Compacts will be their with Jodeci only.

Update Due to Jodeci coming in to season we are unable to participate.

Their is a big show on April 26 and 27, 2008 in Birch Run, MI.  This show is hosted by Progressive Dog Club of Wayne County, Inc.  and the show will be held at the Birch Run Expo Center. The address is 11600 S Beyer Rd., Birch Run, MI. The closeing date for this show is Wednesday, April 09, 2008.

So far we have 8 staffies who said they will be there 5 females and 3 male.

If you have a staffie come on out and join us. If you are planning on coming pleasse let me know so i can pass the word around.

Update: The Show time and rings are as follow:  for Saturday April 26, 2008 we will show in ring 5 at 11:30am. For Sunday April 27, 2008 we will show in ring 8 at 8:00am. Hope that you may be able to come and give us your support.

Update: Results for Saturday are that Diddy took 2nd Place in the 12-18 month Dog Class and a Reserve Male. Jodeci took 1st Place in the 12-18 month Bitch Class.

On April 5 and 6, 2008 there will be a show hosted by the Saginaw Valley Kennel Club.  The event will be held at the Birch Run Expo Center. the address is  11600 S Beyer Rd., Birch Run, MI.  The Closeing date is March 19, 2008.

This is another show that Compact Staffords will be at. Both Diddy and Jodeci will be there.

Update after speaking with a few staffie owners their are 5 staffie at this show as will  1 boys and 4 girls

We would just like to inform everyone that Compact Staffords has teamed up with Blessings Kennels. We have been showing and working together for sometime now. We would refur to each other as a sister Kennels. We share the same visions, missions, and goals. We hope that together we can continue to improve our stock and the breeds future. The show will start Friday, March 6, 2008 and run throw Sunday March 8, 2008. The show will host wieght pulling and conformation. The event will be held at the Kalamzoo County Fairgrounds. the address is 2900 Lake Street Kalamzoo.

Compacts Staffords will be there to compet in both events. 

Update

Diddy took 2 Resevre Best of Breed at the Shows. He Lost to Amandlas’ Lady Marmalade of Blessings Kennels both times. She went on to win group and Best in Show for both Shows. Wow back to back Best in Shows.

In weight pull: This was Diddy first time in competition he faulted two time and was eliminated. but he still pulled 431 lbs                                                      

We are Happy to see that a total of 5 Staffordshire Bull Terrier’s are signed up for this years show. On Saturday March 1, 2008, the Staffies will show in ring 9 at 11:00am and will be bench in row 10 section B. On Sunday March 2, 2008, the Staffies will show in ring 8 at 10:00 am and will be bench in row 10 section B.

Diddy took the 12-18 month Dog class, Best Male and Best Of Opposite Sex in Breed.

Jodeci took the 12-18 month Bitch class and a Reserve Best Bitch .

This was a good successful day for Compact Staffords

Saturday February 23, 2008 at Arboroads Farm. Come on out and get your practice your handling skills. Along with getting your Dog use to the environment.

This weekend there is a UKC show hosted by CATS(Canine Activities & Traditional Sports). The event will be held at the Kalamazoo Kennel Club Building. The address is 1249 W D Ave. Kalamazoo, Michigan. Taking US 131 N or S, use exit #44 “D” Ave. Go east approximately 3 miles. KKC Building on right hand side just after 4 way stop at Douglas. The show dates are the 15 thru the 17.  Entries can be made at the door from 8:00 am to 8:45 am and the show will start at 9:15 am.

This event will have a total of 5 shows (1 Friday, 2 Saturday and 2 Sunday) 

We will be there on Sunday so come down and see us.

Update

The Show was very successful for Compact Staffords.

The first show Jodeci took Best Female but lost to Diddy in breed. Diddy took Best Male, Best Of Breed and went on to  place 3rd in Group.

The second show Diddy took Best Male but lost to Jodeci in Breed. Jodeci took Best Female, Best Of Breed and went on to place 3rd in Group.

Its that time of year again, the Detroit Keenl club is putting on it’s annual show. If it all works out we hope to have 6 Staffordshire Bull Terrier’s present and maybe a major for females. We hope and ask for you to come and join us.
